Big Deal, so Martha Stewart sold some stocks just before things turned bad with a couple companies, who cares? She is a former stock broker, and according to Reuters "She has said she sold because she had a pre-existing deal with her broker to dump the stock if the price fell below $60 a share." What's so strange about a successful former broker selling shares, isn't the stock market about making money? Reuters also reported "Shares of Martha Stewart Living closed down 6 cents at $8.99 on the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday, Aug. 21. The shares hit a 52-week high of $20.92 on March 18 and a 52-week low of $6.30 on Aug. 2." With fluxuation like that, is it really Martha's fault, or just an indcator of these crazy times? And finally, Time.com reported this, "Stewart unloaded all 3,928 (shares of ImClone). She has acknowledged phoning Waksal (ImClone's former chief executive, Samuel Waksal) that day, and investigators have his phone log, which includes the 1:43 p.m. entry, "Martha Stewart something is going on with ImClone and she wants to know what." The two appear never to have connected. "I did not speak to Dr. Samuel Waksal regarding my sale," Stewart said. It sounds to me as though Martha needed no one to tell her it was time to drop ImClone, prices go down, and she said SELL. This sounds like media manipulation to us at The TV Ministry! Enron, Worldcom, and Imclone go down, our President is a yutz, and OJ's nowhere to be found, so they blame Martha Stewart - Maybe she forgot to invite somebody to one of her dinner parties? | |||||||||||||||||

Has anyone see the glut of Martha Want-a-bees falling all over each other to take the homemaking guru's place? It is disgusting! Please let's keep Martha, she's got cool hair and always looks like she's been smoking weed! She says plates at a dinner party don't have to match! And, readers of 'Living' know her favorite thing to do at dinner parites is make everyone cook their own food - whether it's crepes or pizza, it's do-it-yourself at Martha's House!
