“Armadillo” on A&E kept me watching the “boob tube” for 3 solid hours!

It’s a well done story about an insurance adjuster who finds fraud and deceit in his investigation of a suspicious in a high rise. James Frain stars as the handsome young insurance adjuster, Lorimer Black.

He’s a nice man who has a strange family, all are refugees from a country that remains a mystery. His sister has her hand out for money, his father is catatonic, and his brother-in-laws ar small time crooks.Only his little niece is happy, especially when he brings her new shoes.

The main character is an enigma, not as straight as an arrow, but a good sort. “Armadillo” is an insomniac who goes to a sleep clinic. He’s rich with a taste for antiquities, especially the head or mask of a warrior centuries old and quite expensive. He’s also a romantic who falls for a beautiful woman he sees for 30 seconds on a commercial.

Ultimately, he solves the crime, but opens a bigger can of worms.

I hope they make more Armadillo movies.

The film also stars Hugh Bonneville (Iris, Notting Hill, Tomorrow Never Dies), as Lorimer's detestable new colleague Torquil Helvoir-Jayne, and James Fox (A&E's THE LOST WORLD, Remains of the Day, Patriot Games, A Passage to India) as Sir Simon Sherriffmuir, an aristocratic industrialist who sells our hero quite short.
